Yerba Mate Bio Mate La Rubia 500g

Been drinking mate for nearly a year now and hands down this is my favourite. Smokey as hell and complex. Heaven in a gourd. My only slight complaint is that it does not have enough kick for mornings but therefore makes the perfect mate when I get home after a stressful day.

The smell is like raw tobacco, very nice! It's texture is fine like Baldo, with dust, but not too much. Stems were small. Taste: smoky, tar, wood,menthol, with little bitterness and a lot of smoothness on the tongue. The taste reminds me of Baldo or Canarias. I will try it blended with something like Playdito or Taragui Azul, as I think the buttery quality of the latter two will suit La Rubia.

Yerba Mate la Rubia has a great flavour. It’s long lasting, rich but not too strong., and you can enjoy the same taste from beginning to end. La Rubia seems to have a very unique flavour.
