High Performance Straight Triple Filter Bombilla

We're sorry to hear this. Due to the bombilla's triple filter system it may become blocked more easily than the regular bombillas, which let a certain amount of the tiniest particles (dust) through. We recommend a couple of things to remedy this:
1) 'remove the dust' from the yerba - this can be achieved after pouring the dry yerba into the mate cup, covering the top with the palm of your hand and shaking. When you return to the upright position your hand will have a light covering of the smallest yerba particles. This 'dust' if not removed would usually pass into the bombilla and be drank. Some people like this, some hate it.
2) allow the yerba leaves to swell. Add a small amount of warm water (not boiling) to the yerba. Add just enough to wet all the leaves, not to fill the mate cup. Leave for a couple of minutes and the yerba leaves will have grown in size, which avoids them entering/clogging the bombilla.
3) if neither of these work, try removing the gauze filter and see if that combination of better flow and filter properties works for you
