Description
The bombilla is a staw with a filter at one end that we use to drink yerba mate. They are commonly made from a metal but are sometimes made from other material such as wood or bamboo. The most common type of filter as with this bombilla is a spoon shape with little holes to filter out the yerba. Other types of filter that are commonly seen as spherical with holes, spring and slits. However the spoon bombilla is the most comfortabel shape because it not only filters the yerba, but it is used as a tool with which to manipulate the yerba.
Please note this is an economy bombilla and the metal is not non-oxidising. It must be kept dry between uses to avoid rust forming.
