Yerba Mate Taragui Vitality Without Stems Vitality
Loose leaf yerba mate Taragui Vitality without stems (sin palos) an Argentinian Classic. Blends that don’t have stems tend to be stronger than blends with stems (the stems serve to “dilute” the yerba) This Vitality blend is the same as the original “blue pack” Taragui Azul which is the traditional non-stem blend by Taragui.
The main differences are firstly the packaging redesign and rebranding. In order to give added protection against moisture a higher grade package is used. Secondly the Rainforest Alliance (RAS) has certified this item. This means the social and environmental conditions met in the production of this blend are of the highest standard, and reforestation is part of this. Consequently, workers rights and working conditions are guaranteed.
The only RAS Yerba Mate in the world 100 % produced with thin and thick leaves. Intense dark olive green, due to the brushing of the leaves. Ideal for French press-style infusions. Its high proportion of leaves makes it the ideal option to be consumed in areas with hard waters.
For the perfect brew, preparation is key and so full photo instructions will be provided with all purchases.
Taragui is one of the key brands of the Argentinian powerhouse yerba producer Las Marias. Las Marias has been producing yerba mate since 1924. It operates a strict policy of high level quality control while at the same time protecting the rights of workers.
Brewing Your Yerba Mate
The tradition of drinking yerba mate is such an important part of the South American culture, specifically in Uruguay, Paraguay, Argentina and Brazil, although it is also enjoyed in other South American countries. Typically, it is drunk from a natural gourd (a hollowed out fruit) used as a cup, and then sipped through a metal straw known as a bombilla that has a filtered end to separate the infusion from the yerba leaves.
With any purchase of loose leaf yerba, full photo instructions will be provided on how to brew the perfect yerba mate. If you get it right, your yerba will always taste great, and last twice as long. Practice makes perfect!
