What is yerba mate?

This is now my favourite Mate cup for daily use.
I am a dyed in the wool traditionalist and have used the same gourd type Mate for over ten years but this little cup has won me over.
First of all I love how it looks and feels, it could almost be a decorated or leather covered gourd. For me this really adds to the experience as I find myself constantly looking at the Mate as I sip my Yerba.
From a practical point of view, being stainless steel (BPA free) it is simple to empty and clean when out and about without worrying about drying etc. The Thermal side of things means no burnt hands (I really don’t like ceramic Mates) and, especially in cold weather, your Yerba stays warm.
I would highly recommend this little Mate, in fact my new daily set is all Gaucho Bruno, with a green Flask and matching green Bombilla.
