La Bombilla
La Bombilla is a family-owned yerba mate producer based in Colonia Independencia, in the Guaira region of southern Paraguay. With over 75 years of experience, the company manages every stage of production from cultivation and harvesting through to drying, ageing and grinding at its own facilities.
The brand is known for its finely ground leaf with a generous proportion of stems (con palos), delivering a strong, full-bodied flavour with distinctive smoky notes and subtle nutty undertones. A long ageing process of up to 24 months gives the finished yerba its smooth, rounded character that holds up well across multiple infusions.
La Bombilla yerba mate is equally suited to hot mate and cold tereré, making it a versatile everyday choice. It is one of the most affordable Paraguayan yerba mates available in the UK, with pack sizes ranging from 500g to a 10kg bumper pack for regular drinkers.
