Advert – Distribution Operative

UruShop is a family-run e-commerce retailer that has been running for 13 years. We specialise in selling food and drink from South America, especially Yerba Mate. We are based in a warehouse at Morris Road and are looking for a keen and enthusiastic person to join our small team. As a small business your impact will be very important so we are looking for the right person

Temporary maternity cover contract with the possibility of becoming permanent. Initial contract 10 months with a 6 week probation period

£9 per hour

Hours of work are Mon-Fri 9-4.30.

Working in an e-commerce business specialising in South American food and drink.

Initially we are looking for a maternity cover where primarily the role is picking and packing orders. For that role we’re looking for:

• Ability to accurately and efficiently pick and pack orders
• The ability to work in an orderly manner, keeping the warehouse tidy
• Previous experience in e-commerce or distribution will be an advantage
• IT literacy

Your responsibilities will include:

• Picking & packing of orders, and confirmation with relevant carriers
• Receipt & storage of deliveries
• Stock rotation
• Communication with carriers and customers
• Use of in-house and web-based software systems to carry out role
