This bombilla is the traditional metal straw used to drink yerba mate with. This is the most popular 'spoon' design which is useful for manoeuvering the yerba, the 'spoon' has small holes to filter out the tea leaves.
Length of the straw is curved for comfort of use, and the filter is detachable for ease of cleaning.
